Awesome and Crazy

Good article from Esquire on the Tester/Rehberg Senate race.
Inside the Montana Senate Race with Jon Tester, Who Won’t Take This Crap This Year, Not When It’s This Close

“What am I supposed to say?” Tester said. “It’s hard to talk about your opponent when you’re seeing the kind of crap he’s putting on TV.” Tester was quiet for a little while after that.

A few thousand Montanans will help determine the balance of power in the U.S. Senate when they vote for either a farmer or a rancher. During that Kamut harvest I spent with Jon Tester, the unlikely center of this particular storm, I couldn’t help thinking that’s kind of awesome and kind of crazy at the same time.

It’s weird to think that a Montana race may actually have national significance this year. Don’t tell me your vote doesn’t count on the big stage.
